Programs

Foundation Program Areas:

  1. Education
    Education grants focus on organizations and programs that enhance cognitive and social skills in an effort to support educational success. Education grants are limited to programs and organizations serving disadvantaged youth and their families.

    Examples of organizations with education projects funded:
    Raising a Reader- Massachusetts
    Boys and Girls Clubs - Cape Cod, Brockton
    Red Hook Initiative
    Wisconsin State Fair Park Foundation
    First Stage, Milwaukee

  2. Environment
    Priority is given to land protection and dam removal. Projects that leverage public and/or private grants are given priority.

    Examples of organizations with environment projects funded:

    Wildlands Trust of Southeastern Massachusetts
    The Nature Conservancy
    Jones River Watershed Association
    North and South Rivers Watershed Association
    Buzzards Bay Coalition
    Ipswich River Watershed Association
    Trust for Public Land/Coalition for Community Preservation
    Trustees of the Reservations

  3. Project Highlights

    The Foundation is strategic in its grantmaking, and is geographically focused. We aim to build partnerships among grantees working in similar fields in an effort to enhance the effectiveness of the groups' missions.
